Curv Link puts your saved links on a rotating 3D cylinder
Curv Link is a free web app that lays out your favorite sites and the images and videos you collect as icons and cards around a cylinder. Just open it in your browser.
Ways to use it
- Organize Chrome bookmarks: Turn a bookmarks bar that has run out of room into icons you can scan at a glance.
- Start page: Your favorite sites and a search bar on a single screen.
- Image, video and music collections: YouTube, Spotify and your own images as large cards.
- Project links: Keep each project's docs and tools on a cylinder of its own.
Get started in 3 steps
- Open Curv Link: Open Curv Link in your browser. There is nothing to install and no account to create.
- Add links: Add URLs from the + icon or from Settings. You can also bring in many at once from a bookmarks HTML file or from text that lists URLs.
- Spin and open: Drag the cylinder to spin it and click an icon (tap on a phone) to open it. Tidy up by grouping icons into folders and dragging them into place.
Features
- 3D cylinder: Your saved links become site icons arranged around a cylinder. Drag to spin it and open the one you want right away.
- Folders and reordering: Group icons into folders, with folders inside folders if you like. Change the order with drag and drop.
- Media view: See images, videos, YouTube, Spotify, PDFs, Markdown and more as large preview cards.
- Play in place: YouTube and Spotify links play inside Curv Link without leaving the page.
- Files from your device: Image, video, PDF, Markdown and other files you add are stored in this browser (IndexedDB). Markdown files open in an editor.
- Bulk import: Import from bookmarks HTML files, URLs written in CSV, Markdown or plain text, and YouTube playlists. With Web Helper, you can import your Chrome bookmarks too.
- Multiple cylinders: Make separate cylinders, for example for work and hobbies, and switch between them.
- Search bar: Search the web with the engine you choose (Google by default; Yahoo!, Bing, DuckDuckGo and others are available). Suggestions and your search history appear as you type.
- Your own look: Change the colors and the wallpaper (solid color, Earth, Light Trails, Aurora Flow, or your own image).
- Undo and redo: Undo actions such as swapping icons or making folders (Ctrl+Z to undo and Ctrl+Shift+Z to redo on a computer).
- Backup: Export the links and settings of every cylinder to a JSON file and restore them later.
Price
- Curv Link is free to use, and no account is needed.
- The Curv Link Web Helper extension is free too.
Requirements and limits
- The 3D view uses WebGL. It runs in current browsers on computers and phones, but it can feel slow on older devices.
- Links, settings and files you add are stored in this browser. They do not move to other devices or browsers automatically; use a JSON backup to move them.
- Clearing the browser's site data also deletes what you saved, so back up important links from time to time.
- A JSON backup contains your links and settings, but not the contents of files you added from your device.
- Web Helper is an extension for desktop Google Chrome. Importing Chrome bookmarks, adding new ones automatically, and opening Curv Link in new tabs work only with Web Helper installed.
Privacy
- Links, folders, settings, search history and files you add are, as a rule, stored in your browser and are not sent to Curv Link's servers.
- To show site icons and page thumbnails, the domain names of your links or page URLs are sent to the services that provide those images, either through Curv Link's image relay server (Cloudflare) or directly.
- While search suggestions are shown, what you type is sent through Curv Link's server to the search engine. You can turn this off in Settings.
- No analytics tools are used.
See the privacy policy on the support page for details.
