Importing Chrome Bookmarks with Web Helper
A website cannot read your browser's bookmarks on its own. To import Chrome bookmarks directly, add the free Curv Link Web Helper extension to desktop Chrome.
- Open Curv Link, then go to Settings → Data → Import Bookmarks.
- A list of your Chrome bookmarks appears, with each folder name shown for reference. Check the ones you want, or use Import All.
- Press Import Selected. If some links already exist, choose whether to skip the duplicates or import them all.
Imported bookmarks are added as individual icons on the front side of the cylinder; Chrome's folder structure is not recreated. Without Web Helper, the button offers to open the install page instead.
Bookmarks You Add Later
With Web Helper, normal web bookmarks you newly create in Chrome (with the star button, in Bookmark Manager, or arriving from your other devices via Chrome Sync) are added to Curv Link automatically. New folders in the Bookmarks Bar, and bookmarks you move or rename, are reflected too. When Chrome adds more than 10 bookmarks at once, as with Import bookmarks and settings, they are not mirrored.
Importing from an HTML File or Another Browser
- Export your bookmarks as an HTML file from your browser. In Chrome, open Bookmark Manager (Ctrl+Shift+O), open the three-dot menu, and choose Export bookmarks. Firefox, Safari, and Edge have similar export options.
- In Curv Link, go to Settings → Data → Migrate from Export File and select the file.
This works without Web Helper and in any browser. The same button also reads exports from Speed Dial-style tools (HTML, JSON, CSV, text, or Markdown).
