← About Curv Link

See all your Chrome bookmarks as icons

With Curv Link Web Helper, you can bring your Chrome bookmarks into Curv Link and open them from a 3D cylinder of site icons.

Common problems

  • The bookmarks bar is full, and the sites you use most are buried deep in folders.
  • A list of names makes it hard to tell which bookmark is which site.
  • Reorganizing means dragging bookmarks one by one in Bookmark Manager.

How Curv Link helps

  • With Web Helper installed, you can review your Chrome bookmarks in a list and pick the ones to import.
  • Bookmarks you newly create in Chrome, for example with the star button, are added to Curv Link automatically. Moving a bookmark to another folder or renaming it is mirrored too.
  • Imported links appear as site icons, so you can find them by sight.
  • Inside Curv Link, you can group links into folders and reorder them with drag and drop.
  • Even without the extension, you can import a bookmarks HTML file exported from your browser.

Get started in 3 steps

  1. Open Curv Link: Open Curv Link in your browser. No account is needed.
  2. Add Web Helper: Add Curv Link Web Helper to desktop Chrome from the Chrome Web Store.
  3. Import your bookmarks: In Curv Link, open Settings > Data, press Import Bookmarks, and choose the bookmarks to bring in.

Notes and limits

  • Web Helper is an extension for desktop Google Chrome.
  • When Chrome adds more than 10 bookmarks in one batch (for example with "Import bookmarks and settings"), they are not added automatically. Use Import Bookmarks when you need them.
  • Moving a folder itself to another place is not mirrored in Curv Link.
  • Adding and deleting Chrome bookmarks from Curv Link is off by default. If you turn on deleting, pressing a delete button in Curv Link also removes the matching Chrome bookmark without a confirmation dialog.
  • Folders are not kept when you import from an HTML file.
  • With Web Helper installed, Chrome opens Curv Link in new tabs. It cannot be used together with another extension that replaces the new tab page.

FAQ

Will Curv Link change my Chrome bookmarks?

Not by default. Curv Link adds or deletes Chrome bookmarks only after you turn that on yourself under Browser Bookmark Sync in its settings.

Can I import bookmarks from Edge or Firefox?

Yes. Export your bookmarks to an HTML file in that browser, then load it in Curv Link with Settings > Migrate from Export File.

What happens to bookmarks I add in Chrome after importing?

With Web Helper installed, new bookmarks are added to Curv Link automatically, including in a Curv Link tab you already have open.
