Exporting & Backup
Why Backups Matter
Curv Link saves your data in this browser. It does not move to other devices or browsers automatically, and clearing the browser's site data deletes it. Export a backup from time to time.
Exporting a Backup
- Open Settings → Data.
- Press Export Backup.
- A JSON file with the links and settings of every cylinder is downloaded. Keep it somewhere safe.
What the Backup Does Not Include
The JSON backup does not contain the contents of files you added from your device, such as images, videos, PDFs, or Markdown files. Keep the original files in a separate place.
Restoring from Backup
Press Import Backup in Settings → Data and choose the JSON file. The links and settings you have now are replaced with the contents of the backup, and the page reloads. To move your data to another device or browser, export it here and restore it there.
Tip: Export a backup before a major reorganization or before resetting your links. Storage Usage in the Data tab shows roughly how much browser storage Curv Link uses on this device.
